Compact
Cold-cathode Electron Buncher (CCEB)
The
compact cold-cathode electron buncher (CCEB) is an
electron source developed by
Microwave Technologies that provides
high-quality, high-current-density bunched electron
beams for microwave tube applications and other
electron-based devices used in research and
industry. The CCEB is based on a miniature gated
field-emitter-array cathode. It offers a
dramatic reduction in size and weight, reduced
operating power requirements (no filament power
required) and improved frequency response. The CCEB provides super-fast turn-on
high-current-density electron bunches for the next
generation of microwave tubes and medical and
industrial accelerators.
