Electron Beam
Irradiation Plants
MTI has begun
offering turn-key solutions for food
irradiation, as well as flue gas, and
wastewater remediation. Working with our
partners, MTI provides electron beam
irradiation facilities to treat food items.
E-beam irradiation has been proven to
prolong shelf life, kills insects, prevent
sprouting and reduce ripening in fruits and
vegetables.
Other accelerator
technologies being provided by MTI include
flue gas remediation and wastewater
treatment. The need for increased pollution
controls is spreading worldwide and electron
beam irradiation has been shown to be an
effective means of treating sewage, ground
and surface water, and industrial waste
water.
